On Tuesday evening, 22-year-old Jaden Robinson took the lives of 20-year-old Isabella Addington and their 4-month-old daughter Imani Robinson before ending his own life amid a domestic argument, Columbus police have reported. During the incident, Robinson was communicating with a friend via text and FaceTime, who alerted the authorities after hearing gunshots.
"I was talking on the phone with my friend, and I heard gunshots go off," the friend recounted. "The phone fell. I'm not sure what is going on over there."
When asked by a 911 dispatcher if he believed Robinson had shot himself, the friend admitted it was a possibility.
Robinson's friend was audibly distressed, uttering "oh my god" repeatedly during the conversation with the dispatcher, as per the Columbus Dispatcher. "I don't know why he even called me to do that," he expressed in confusion, reports the Mirror US . "I just don't understand."
Another 911 call came from an individual inside the house who reported hearing four shots upstairs. He suspected Robinson had shot Isabella and mentioned that a 4-month-old child was also present in the room.
Court documents have revealed that Robinson had been out on bail since May 2023, facing three weapons charges and one count of drug possession from an incident in 2022, as reported by Fox 28. The documents also indicate that police found Robinson with a Glock Switch and a fully loaded magazine at a park in June 2022.
