Nicola Coughlan reacts to 'cruel' and 'disrespectful' photographers on Emmys red carpet

Fans pointed out her composure and class , as she attempted to ignore the multiple interruptions. In a video being shared on social media , a couple could be seen simply walking in front of the photographer as Coughlan maintains her smile, reacting only with a mild 'cringe' expression.

Seconds later, the cameraman was forced to usher away another celebrity guest who got in the way of the shot. During the 17-second clip, a total of four people crossed in front of Coughlan, including a photographer who walked casually past her as she held her pose. The Irish actress remained calm despite shouts from angry photographers.

Internet users have weighed in on the awkward moment, commending Coughlan for handling it with grace. One user wrote, “Oh please! I know they saw her standing there.”

Another added, “ Nicola Coughlan seems so sweet, those people are so rude.”

Nicola spoke to Access Hollywood about her experience on the carpet, but steered away from any negativity, instead saying that she was starstruck by another celebrity guest.

“I went to get my photos taken, and then I looked to my left and Jennifer Aniston was standing right beside me,” she said. "I heard her voice, and I gasped! I am normally quite ok, but I mean, she's Rachel [Green, from Friends].”
