P Diddy's 'first prison meal' revealed after he's denied bail - and it was quite a choice

Rap icon Sean "Diddy" Combs has swapped his usual five-star dining for prison food. Combs was arrested in New York City earlier this week on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. His second bail application took place on Wednesday, with his legal team requesting a $50million bail.

However, the prosecution deemed him a flight risk, and the request was denied. He's currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn , which also housed fellow disgraced rapper R. Kelly.

This is the city's main federal detention center, known for its varied dinner menu, reports the Mirror US . Combs will receive three meals a day, starting after his arraignment. The New York Post reports that the rapper's first meal behind bars was Swedish Meatballs.

He could have opted for a black bean burger but seemed to prefer the meatballs. Accompanying his meal were egg noodles, green beans, a garden salad, and a 16 oz drink.

Despite being fed thrice daily, the conditions are far from luxurious. In a bail motion on Tuesday, the 54 year old's lawyers argued: "Several courts in this District have recognised that the conditions at Metropolitan Detention Center are not fit for pre-trial detention."

The facility has been plagued by reports of unsanitary conditions, including overflowing toilets, a cockroach infestation, and freezing temperatures following a fire that disrupted the heating system in parts of the building. Notably, it has previously held notorious inmates such as gang members, and mafia figures, and was also where Jeffrey Epstein died.

The mogul has vehemently denied all allegations against him. Following the arrest, Marc Agnifilo, the attorney representing Combs, expressed his disappointment to The Mirror US, stating: "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Sean "Diddy" Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community."

Agnifilo further emphasized, "He is an imperfect person, but he Is not a criminal," adding that Combs has been fully cooperative with the investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York in anticipation of the charges.

Agnifilo urged the public to reserve judgment until all the facts are known, stating, "To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court."
