Ryan Reynold's frightening health scare saw him pass out at the doctor - 'I scared the anesthesiologist'

When Ryan Reynolds went for a colonoscopy two years ago as part of a bet with Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney around learning Welsh, he probably didn't expect it to end up potentially saving his life.

However, that's exactly what happened, as doctors noticed a benign polyp, a tissue growth that can be a precursor to cancer.

The Deadpool star was told it was "potentially lifesaving" . McElhenney himself, had three polyps removed, with all of it captured on camera.

The footage sparked immediate spike in their fans seeking colonoscopy screenings.

Two years on, Reynolds has once again moved to raise awareness, reports Wales Online .

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Reynolds wrote: "Friendly/loving reminder: colonoscopies save lives. And you can make it fun: As they start to put you under, try pointing at the ceiling, then whisper, "Such warm light. Grand-papa?

    Is that you?

"Then pass out. It's a fun way to really scare the ---- out of the anesthesiologist."

Reynolds and McElhenney have overseen a hugely promising start to the season for Wrexham, who are currently sitting top of League One with five wins from their opening seven games.

They continue their campaign with a trip to Leyton Orient on Saturday.
