Prince Harry's stern 11-word response when asked about Royal Family rift

King Charles' plan for a slimmer Royal family is facing difficulties with key royals presently out of action . The monarch himself was forced to take a break from his Royal duties to undergo cancer treatment but has now returned to work, while Kate Middleton also took a step away for health reasons.

Following successful chemotherapy, the Princess of Wales made an announcement that she's set to come back to her Royal commitments.

With this turn of events, speculation rises about whether Prince Harry will step in to support the crown after his dramatic resignation two years back.

Insiders claim the Duke of Sussex may consider a temporary Royal position as his father is treated for cancer, highlighting his readiness to assist. Harry hinted at mending ties with King Charles in a recent interview on an American morning TV show.

But rewind to just over a year ago, during an appearance on 'Good Morning America', Harry seemed to shut down any thoughts of returning to Royal functions .

Interviewing with Michael Strahan last January and discussing his tell-all book 'Spare', he answered emphatically when quizzed about picking up his Royal duties again: "No. I don't think it is ever going to be possible."

He explained further: "Even if there is an agreement, or an arrangement between me and my family, there is that third party that is going to do everything they can to make sure that isn't possible. Not stopping us going back, but making it unsurvivable."

Despite speculation, Prince Harry is set to continue without a temporary Royal role, adhering to the original terms decided upon his and Meghan's departure as working Royals in 2020.

A source relayed to The Telegraph: "Those terms were quite clear, and the King's illness hasn't altered that." It has been reaffirmed by another insider that the idea of a 'half in, half out' Royal duty role remains inappropriate.

In addition, Prince William is understood to have expressed to confidants that any chance of Prince Harry re-entering the Royal family is off the table.

Reportedly, William's anger over Harry's repeated critique of the institution means that he will not support Harry's readmission into Royal ranks.

The informant disclosed: "Whatever has been discussed between William and the King is private, but it is absolutely and categorically clear that he (William) would not allow Harry to return. He thought it was a bad idea at the time and he's even more clear now."

"If anyone is going to take on more duties it will be William and that isn't even on the agenda for now. His main focus is on his father's health, his family and what is best for the monarchy. There is a zero percent chance Harry is coming back in any capacity."
