Jordyn Blum's defiant five-word statement after Dave Grohl's bombshell cheating and love child revelation

After Dave Grohl dropped a bombshell on Instagram that he cheated on his wife and got another woman pregnant, fans were shocked and the band soon called a hiatus .

Married for 21 years to Jordyn Blum, with three children, Violet, 18, Harper, 15 and Ophelia, 10, Grohl wrote in his Instagram post that he is “doing everything [he] can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness”.

Without going into detail, Grohl - whose cheating allegations sparked a wave of fans making the same joke - said that he is going to be the father of a new baby girl, and plans “to be a loving and supportive parent to her”.

With many questioning the wellbeing of his wife and kids, a source recently revealed to PEOPLE that Blum is focused on her own life and her girls.

"It’s been rough for her. Her mind is not on her marriage though. She doesn’t trust Dave. She’s not wearing her wedding ring," the source said.

"She’s leaning on a group of girlfriends. She feels lucky to be surrounded by love and support."

Although the Foo Fighters Frontman revealed the news to the world via Instagram on Sep 10, multiple sources told PEOPLE that Blum knew about the baby .

"She was shocked when she found out about the baby,” a source told PEOPLE. “Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her,” the source added.

A separate source told PEOPLE that Grohl had retained a divorce lawyer before the post as well.

The Foo Fighters were booked to perform at Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut on September 29, but pulled out days before the event. The band was replaced by Jack White.

On Oct.2, Grohl was spotted without his wedding ring while running errands in Los Angeles .

Known as one of the “good guys” in rock music, many fans of the band revealed that they were hurt by his actions. the comments on the Instagram post were disabled.
