Daniel Day-Lewis' "best movie" has been hailed as one of the top films of the century, making it an excellent pick for anyone looking to cozy up on the sofa and dive into a cinematic experience.

The 2007 film features Day-Lewis in the role of Daniel Plainview, a silver miner turned oil tycoon who is on a relentless pursuit of wealth during Southern California's oil boom at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. There Will Be Blood has topped the list of Day-Lewis' top 10 movies and it's not hard to see why.

Critics and viewers alike have given the movie high marks on Rotten Tomatoes , with many professional critics calling it a masterpiece and audiences agreeing that it's a must-watch. The film boasts an impressive 91% critic score and an 86% audience rating, even surpassing Day-Lewis' iconic Irish hit In The Name Of The Father in his repertoire.

One thrilled viewer exclaimed: "One of the greatest movie of the century! ABSOLUTELY GREAT! This one is really perfect! ".

Another added: "Amazing performance by the greatest actor of our time, and let's not forget about the amazing Paul Dano. The best movie PT Anderson has delivered and one of the great films of the 21st century.", reports the Irish Star .

And a third admirer praised: "One of the greatest films ever made. It reaches the heights of cinematic humanity and artistry. And the depths of our collective humanity, personal corruption and vulnerability. It's as near to the perfect human experience captured on film as we have this far."

One fan raved: "There Will Be Blood is a film with a perfect narrative, incredible performances, violence that impressed me a lot, incredible photography, a story that advances with small but very significant steps, since as the story progresses the protagonist evolves in such a way. so that he is falling into madness. A beautiful performance by Lewis. Highly recommended."

Another viewer praised: "Daniel Day-Lewis delivers one powerhouse of a performance as the cold-blooded oil tycoon. Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood is a mesmerizing exploration of ambition and greed, the hypnotic descent into one's corrupted soul, further propelled by the hauntingly atmospheric portrait of America's ruthless pursuit of wealth in the early 20th century."

Paul Dano definitely deserved to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor. He was great. And he had a duel role, which spaned several age periods. I was very surprised and disappointed when he was never nominated.
