A new animated movie on Netflix is the perfect Halloween flick to watch with the family.

There’s several scary movies to watch on the streaming platform, but some may not be appropriate for children. For a scarier binge, try Netflix original series Midnight Mass or the thrilling fan favorite Yellowjackets .

For something a little less gruesome, try The Bad Guys: Haunted Heist, which was added to Netflix last week. Movie reviewer Morin Abraham, on TikTok @ThatFilmDiva , says the entertaining plot is great for children and parents alike.

The movie is a Halloween special of The Bad Guys franchise. The original movie from Dreamworks came out in 2022, based on the children’s graphic novel of the same name.

It centers around a group of criminals who set out to steal an amulet from a haunted mansion. The characters are a group of anthropomorphic animals, including Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Ms. Tarantula, Mr. Shark and Mr. Piranha.

The cast for the Halloween short is made up of Micahel Godere, Ezekiel Ajeigbe, Raul Ceballos, Chris Diamantopoulos and Mallory Low.

“This film recommendation is more for parents or kids, anyone who enjoyed the animated film, The Bad Guys. It’s a nice Halloween short flick,” Abraham said.

“It’s for the season, and it’s a nice, fun watch on Netflix,” she said.

Abraham said a Bad Guys Christmas special came out last year, so this is another follow up to the series.
