Soup is the perfect dish for this season , offering warmth, comfort and a wealth of health benefits .

That's why it's no shocker that this recipe is being hailed as a top-notch method to shed pounds while nourishing the body. Matt Boxall took to TikTok to share his ultimate "weight loss" soup recipe, claiming it's dead easy to make and packs only 100 calories per serving.

The prep is a piece of cake - just roast one carrot, 80g of chopped sweet potato, 80g of tomato, half an onion, and two cloves of garlic. Throw in a bit of salt, pepper, and chilli flakes for seasoning and roast at 200C (fan) for 20 minutes.

Once roasted, chuck the veggies into a blender, add a splash of coconut milk and 300ml of veggie stock, and whizz it up until you've got a cracking smooth and super healthy soup. The recipe's been a smash hit online, with Matt's video racking up over 50,000 likes. Fans have been quick to suggest tweaks to make the soup even more filling.

One fan suggested: "Add some lentils and there's more fibre and protein." Another commented: "This is delicious, but I would eat this with a whole baguette." A third advized: "Add cabbage... thicken it. Still super low calorie, but at least filling."

For those wondering how the soup aids in weight loss - its mix of low calories and high volume means it'll keep you full for ages without adding any extra weight. It's a cracking way to dodge those high-calorie cravings.

The recipe has been receiving heaps of praise for its simplicity, making it a hit even among those who aren't kitchen savvy.

One person commented: "The most realistic soup I can actually make", while another chimed in with: "It looks good - kind of like a carrot soup."

And a fourth happy home chef shared their success: "I just made this today. It was so nice. I'd definitely make it again. Thanks."
