Indiana Fever's shining star Caitlin Clark has shared her excitement about swapping the basketball court for the golf course in the WNBA off-season. The Rookie of the Year is set to take a breather from her stellar basketball career.

At just 22, Clark has made a splash in the pro leagues after being snapped up as the top pick in the 2024 draft.

The ex-Iowa standout certainly didn't disappoint , clocking an impressive 19.2 points, 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game, smashing records left, right and centre in her debut season.

Despite Indiana Fever's playoff dreams being dashed early by the Connecticut Sun, Clark's inaugural WNBA year is one for the books. But now, she's keen to switch gears and chill out, with golf taking centre stage during her downtime.

The young hotshot has her off-season agenda sorted, featuring a spot at The Annika's pro-am come November, where she'll showcase her golfing chops on the LPGA Tour. She's also hitting up the Women's Leadership Summit at Pelican Golf Club, diving deeper into her passion for the greens.

Buzzing about her upcoming adventures, Clark enthused: "I love golf, so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam's name on it is so exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women's Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika."

Delving into her post-season game plan, she quipped: "I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow, I don't know what I'm going to do the next day. Maybe play some golf. I think that's what I'm going to do until it gets too cold in Indiana. So, I got that. I'll become a professional golfer."

Clark candidly discussed the weight of constant public attention as well, reflecting on her debut season in the WNBA: "It's like everybody's always watching your every move, no matter what you're doing."

She shared her personal mantra: "The best thing that I've tried to live by is to just be the same person, whether I'm leaving my apartment every single day or whether I'm here sitting in front of all of you. I've tried to approach it in the same exact manner that I can and treat everybody with the same amount of respect."

Eager for respite from the relentless exposure both on and beyond the court, the young talent remarked: "I was like, 'I don't know what I'm going to really do."

She contemplated the upcoming downtime: "It's going to be nice though, I think, getting out of the spotlight and just getting to live my life and do things that I want to do. It will definitely be a little bit of an adjustment period."
