Netflix has canceled one of its latest series' which premiered just weeks ago.

While the show did enter Netflix Top 10 charts it's peak viewership hit just 5.9 million leaving it a little lacking among Netflix's big hitters. Actress Aurora Perrineau originally confirmed the news of the cancellation to her fans on Instagram in a since-deleted post.

She wrote: "Well… this one hurts. I find explaining how I’m feeling to be really difficult, but I’ll try. When I started auditioning for this show, I knew it was special, mainly due to the fact that Charlie Covell’s scripts resonated with me in a way most things hadn’t. I knew all of these people, and I loved them all – every flaw, everything.

“For one of the first times in my life, I have found myself really proud. I’m, of course, proud of everyone’s work and the care they gave to this project, because, let me tell you, they left everything on the floor. But I’ve also found myself proud of me, and that is something I’ve struggled with."

Fans are furious, taking to Reddit to bemoan the cancellation of the show. One wrote: "Yup exactly why I didn’t watch this show even though I was interested. Now I wait until shows have a finale until I watch them."

Another said: "Yeah, I saw this, thought 'that looks right up my alley' and then resolved to wait until it got cancelled or renewed before watching."

"I'm honestly convinced that they have an algorithm that decides continuation. Input budget and view count, factor in any merchandising, and the algorithm creates a value," one wrote.

One wrote: "I just have no interest in watching new Netflix shows anymore. They have the lifespan of a fruit fly."

Another said: "That's it. I'm done with this. The first decent original show they've done for years. Cancelled."
