A woman has revealed how she tricked her sister-in-law into stealing her baby name and, hilariously, she fell for it.

The 33-year-old woman, who goes by the username ThrowRAnameninja on Reddit, took to the platform recently to share how she and her husband, who she refers to as Kevin, 35, have been married for almost five years .

The user’s brother-in-law, who she refers to as Terrance, 38, has been married to his wife , who she refers to as Jess, 39, for seven years.

The user explained that when she and Jess were pregnant are the same time, her sister-in-law's behavior was odd. Jess was interrogating her about baby names . It got the 33-year-old thinking.

“After days of this, I got annoyed and asked Kevin if he thought the reason for her insistence was so she could use the name first since she was due first ," she explained. "He kinda chuckled until he realized I was serious."

The user created a plan to test out her theory.

“We were due to host my FIL’s (father-in-law) birthday at our house a couple weeks later and I decided to leave something in the unfinished nursery with a girl and boy name on it and see if Jess went snooping,” the user continued. “Kevin thought it was silly and said he would give me $20 if she did it.”

The user went on a wall decal website and put in the names Aria Rose and Sebastian Ali as a fake customization order . Once she got to the final page before checking out, she printed it out and hid it in a dresser draw in the nursery.

Once Jess gave birth, the user and her husband went to visit at her the hospital . They asked what the baby's name was. Jess told her it was Sebastian Ali. On the way out of the hospital, the user’s husband handed her that $20.

I think it's a sassy way to test her character here. At least she didn't pick ridiculous names to trick her with.

It would have been a lot tougher to say, "Hey Sis, it feels like you're trying to steal my baby name. What's up with that?"
