The Netflix 2024 movie, Inheritance, filmed in Ireland, has a hung jury when it comes to reviews. Some are loving it, and some are hating it.

The film , about an estranged family’s quest full of intricate puzzles to secure a portion of their dead uncle’s wealth, has four critic reviews and five audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes- where Cillian Murphy's new movie debuted with a 100% rating .

On the Rotten Tomatoes popcormeter, which is the measurement for films with less than 50 ratings, the film received a 30%.

The film, directed by Sylwester Jakimow, featuring Maciej Stuhr, Gabriela Muskala, and more, have users on Rotten Tomatoes divided.

“This is a very quirky, and entertaining comedy murder mystery with oddball characters and genuine laughs,” wrote critic Andrea Beach, who gave the movie a four out of five. “The acting is great, and the fabulous mansion setting provides lots of eye candy.”

“There are moments of excitement & intrigue but there are many questions that are left unanswered in the end,” wrote critic Archi Sengupta, who rated the movie a two out of five. “The reasonings that are given also feel lackluster and the move isn’t able to deliver wit or humour to the best of its abilities.”

Critic Tatat Bunnag calls the film a “bland mystery that does the bare minimum to convey intrigue” and Johnathon Wilson gave the film a three out of five.

When looking at the audience reviews, again, the reactions are split right down the middle.

Lavera P, gave the movie five stars, and wrote “Again another poor rated movie I loved. Simple, silly and totally enjoyable.”

S L, who gave the movie one star, wrote, “I want the two hours of my life back watching this movie. This movie is absolutely awful. I’d rather watch paint dry. It is incredibly juvenile, campy, and predictable.”
