Inside Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll's luxury Florida home now at risk from Hurricane Milton

Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll's extravagant £17million ($22million) Florida mansion is on high alert due to the lethal Hurricane Milton sweeping across the state .

The pair reside in Jupiter, a location renowned for being a golfer's paradise due to its numerous courses. Other golfing greats such as Shane Lowry and Tiger Woods also own properties in this community .

The 35 year old Northern Irishman has called Jupiter home since he purchased the opulent residence in 2011 from fellow golf icon Ernie Els for a cool £8.4million ($11million).

Now estimated to be worth twice its original price at £16.8m ($22m), the nine-bedroom mansion finds itself in an area under threat from Hurricane Milton, which is currently wreaking havoc in Florida , hot on the heels of Hurricane Helene that caused significant damage less than a fortnight ago.

Constructed in 2002, the South Florida dwelling sits on a generous 2.4 acres of land and is rumoured to feature 10 bathrooms in addition to its nine bedrooms.

The four-time major winner and his wife of seven years are certainly living the high life with their mansion boasting an infinity pool, a games room, tennis court, home theatre, recording studio and a top-of-the-range gym.

The sprawling 13,000-square-foot property also includes a six-car garage, a necessity for McIlroy who owns a car collection worth £900,000. Golf tees for a hole are conveniently located just outside the couple's home, which is nestled amongst several palm trees.

The 35 year old was battling it out at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland just days before Hurricane Milton made its presence known. McIlroy ended up sharing the 25th spot while LIV Golf's own Tyrrell Hatton narrowly clinched the tournament victory over Nicolas Colsaerts.

Jupiter has since been slapped with a 'tropical storm warning' and declared a State of Emergency on Wednesday (October 9), with official warnings highlighting a 'threat to life and property'.

The National Hurricane Centre has issued a stark warning to residents about potential unseen destruction in west-central Florida, with the storm causing power loss in more than three million homes during this natural disaster. Locals were strongly advised to evacuate before the storm hit, as 'catastrophic' wind damage and severe flash flooding wreaked havoc across the state.

So far, two hurricane-related deaths have been reported in Florida county.

According to the Weather Channel, although Milton is currently veering away from Florida, high winds, flooding rain and storm surge will continue to batter the area until it moves further into the Atlantic. However, as of now, a tropical storm warning is still in effect for Jupiter, Florida.
