Burger King releases Halloween-themed menu based on cult Hollywood classic movie

Burger King is releasing a special meal for Halloween by teaming up with a beloved film franchise.

The chain is teaming up with Amazon MGM Studios to release a new set of items that coincide with the animated adaptation of The Addams Family . The movie came out in 2019, with a sequel in 2021.

The menu becomes available Oct. 10 at participating restaurants across the US . Each item is inspired by characters in the films.

The first item is the Wednesday Whopper. The new take on the iconic burger is a patty topped with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and onions. What makes the burger stand out is the bright purple bun it’s served on.

You can also order Thing’s Rings, which are crispy onion rings in The Addams Family-themed packaging.

If you’re looking for something sweet, Gomez’s Churro Fries are deliciously crispy, fried churros coated in cinnamon sugar and paired with chocolate dipping sauce.

The last item on the menu is Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake, which features creamy soft serve mixed with chocolate cake batter fudge and topped with black and purple cookie pieces.

Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer for Burger King North America, said in a news release: “ Halloween holds a special place in our brand’s history, and we know our Guests look forward to seeing what delicious and kooky creations we come up with each year.

We know The Addams Family also has an affinity for the scarier things in life, so we’re excited to offer fans not one, but four new takes on their favorite BK products this Halloween season with these Addams Family-inspired creations.”

In the kids meal, customers can get limited edition toys, each a character from The Addams Family movies, as well as other Amazon MGM Studios products.
