Taylor Swift fans suspect new album soon as two major artists push their release dates back

Taylor Swift fans are speculating something big after two major artists changed the release date of their new albums.

Rumors are constantly surrounding the pop icon, most recently of a potential engagement to Travis Kelce . The singer enjoys leaving Easter eggs for her fans to find , and some fans think they have picked up on a big one.

Swift’s most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department , was released in April, and fans think it may be time for her next one. While re-releasing her old albums, she has released about two albums a year since 2020.

Major musical artists Shawn Mendes and Joe Jonas have both delayed the release of their new albums. Both albums were scheduled for release on October 18.

This has left people wondering what could be big enough to make both stars steer clear of the October 18 date. Some have speculated that Taylor Swift could be releasing Reputation (Taylor’s Version) that day, which could overshadow other releases.

One fan wrote on X: “so rep tv is coming on Oct 18, good to know.”

Swift will be in Miami performing at the Eras Tour on October 18. She’s announced the re-release of her albums during the show before.

Another fan theorized: “Um does this mean my rep tv in Florida theory was right?”

There could also be a less exciting reason for the coincidence. Mendes announced on his Instagram that the album would be delayed to November 15 because they "just need a little bit more time to bring some new inspirations and ideas to life."

He said: "I love you guys, thank you for being so patient. I can’t wait to see you guys at the next few shows."

Jonas didn’t provide an explanation. The release date on his website has just been updated to “no later than Dec 31, 2025.”

Along with a potential Taylor Swift album, some users on X are convinced it’s Harry Styles who is dropping a new record.

The former One Direction star released his last album in 2022. It won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
