Prince William and Princess Kate unlikely to forgive Prince Harry for crucial reason

A Royal commentator has suggested that Prince William and Princess Kate may find it hard to forgive Prince Harry for the family strife he's stirred up - with one issue in particular seemingly too big to move past .

Fleeing palace life with Meghan Markle in 2020, the Duke of Sussex has since slung numerous charges at the Royals, delving into private affairs publicly .

The cascade started with the shocking Oprah interview in 2021, rolled into the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan in 2022, and exploded with the release of his memoir Spare, which reportedly was the last straw for William in terms of brotherly bonds.

Veteran Royal reporter Charles Rae contends that the disturbance Harry has caused might make reconciliation difficult for William and Kate, who hold their family and Royal roles dear.

While speaking on The Sun's 'Royal Exclusive' programme, Charles remarked: "Well, I think it is down to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to make the first move."

He cast doubt on any olive branch being warmly received, adding "Whether or not it would be accepted by William and Catherine, I doubt very much it would be. There's too much water which has gone under that bridge."

Citing the litany of incidents including the Oprah exclusive, the couple's Netflix special and Harry's bombshell book, as well as Meghan's exaggerated curtsey featured in the show, Charles concluded: "There's too much gone under the bridge now. If they're going to make the move, I am not so sure William and Catherine would respond favourably."

William, aged 42, is reportedly no longer in communication with Harry, despite publicly wishing him a happy birthday last month.

In contrast, it's reported that Harry maintains contact with King Charles, even making the transatlantic journey to visit his father following his cancer diagnosis.

Grant Harrold, former butler to King Charles, exclusively told Express.co.uk that he believes the King would greet Harry with "open arms" should he wish to rejoin the Royal Family.

He stated: "I'm sure his father would probably love to welcome him back with open arms, they've just got to be sure that what's happened in the past few years is not going to happen again."
