Chicago walkers find box with human head on the sidewalk

Last night, a witness reportedly notified the Chicago police after they found a human head inside a box on a sidewalk of the west side of Chicago , according to Fox 32 Chicago.

Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of West Taylor street in the West Lawndale neighborhood slightly before 6pm yesterday.

The witness reported to police officers that they were walking on the sidewalk when they discovered the victim’s remains , a human head, in a box, the Chicago police reported to Fox 32.

According to Fox 32, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed that they were notified about the incident.

The police have opened an ongoing investigation but report that it is unclear what led to the victims death. No further details were released.
