Nicole Kidman bashed over resurfaced clip where she appears to push Hollywood star

An awkward video of Nicole Kidman has resurfaced recently. The clip which has been circulating on social media appears to show the actress pushing another famous face.

The viral clip has sparked a debate about what is actually shown.

It is clear that we are witnessing a tense interaction between two celebrities at Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show in September of this year. However, some viewers think the Perfect Couple star actually pushes and lashes out at fellow actress, Salma Hayek, in a moment of stress.

The two talented actresses are captured standing alongside pop singer Katy Perry as cameras flash all around. Hayek, 58, looks to try and steer Kidman toward the flashes as she has her back to the cameras, by placing her hand on her side. Kidman seemed unimpressed, pushing Hayek’s hand away and pointing at the actor before telling her, “Don’t touch me”.

A photographer can be heard awkwardly laughing and saying, “Ladies, please,” requesting Kidman and Hayek to pose together but Kidman had her mind made up. Hayek looks visibly uncomfortable, as Kidman walks off muttering something intelligible, but responds, “Yes… that’s fine.”

Fans are picking apart the video on social media, wondering what caused the wildly uncomfortable interaction between the two. The Balenciaga show was one of Kidman’s first public appearances since the death of her mother this year.

“It seems like Nicole didn’t want to take another pic and was just like nah,” one user wrote, while another wrote: "Oh that 'don’t touch me' from Nicole to Salma at a brand show owned by her husband, that Balenciaga contract is in danger I fear."

Salma Hayek is married to Francois-Henri Pinault, President and CEO of the luxury group Kering, who owns Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Bottega Veneta.
