Aaron Rodgers criticizes teammate for Jets' loss to Buffalo Bills highlighting what's 'gotta' happen

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has pointed the finger at wide receiver Mike Williams for a game-changing interception during their nail-biting clash with the Buffalo Bills.

With the Jets trailing by three and pushing to take the lead, Rodgers launched a pass to Williams on the outside. However, the 30-year-old receiver's adjustment in mid-air gave Bills cornerback Taron Johnson the chance to intercept, a move that ultimately allowed the Bills to seal the victory as Rodgers seethed on the sidelines.

Post-game, when quizzed about the critical throw, Rodgers didn't mince words , blaming Williams for not running the correct route. He explained to the press: "We [were supposed to have] two verticals. Allen's [Lazard] down the seam, Mike's [Williams] down the red line [sideline go-route].

"I'm looking at Allen, he puts his hand up, three guys go with him. So, I'm throwing a no-look to the red line. When I peek my eyes back there [Williams] is running an in-breaker. It's gotta be down the red line."

Rodgers was clear in his explanation that Williams' mistake was not sticking to the go-route, implying that this misstep forced him to change his throw at the last moment, resulting in the interception, reports the Mirror US .

Former first-round pick and go-to receiver with the Chargers, Williams' stint with the Jets hasn't been as successful as he'd hoped, appearing to be the fourth or fifth choice for Rodgers this season. Trade talks involving Williams have also surfaced, given the Jets' ongoing interest in Davante Adams.

The Jets suffered another disappointing defeat, bringing their record to 2-4 and highlighting the need for some victories in the coming weeks.

Despite the loss, the team showed significant improvement both offensively and defensively after parting ways with former head coach Robert Saleh. Rodgers' offense racked up over 400 yards, while the defense limited Josh Allen to a mere 18 rushing yards on nine attempts.

They challenged the quarterback to beat them with his arm, which he managed to do with some impressive throws to Dalton Kincaid and rookie running back Ray Davis.

I’m sorry I don’t think Aaron Rodgers shit even be quarterbacking at this age. Would somebody please step up and tell the man he’s too old to be playing the game and quit blaming it on all the other people on the team? I’m not a Jets fan, but he’s too old to be playing the game.
