    Pennsylvania man 'stabbed' by Popeyes employee after argument over food order

    A man was reportedly stabbed by a Popeyes employees after an argument broke out over his food order. The incident happened when a 28-year-old man walked into the Popeyes on N Broad Street in Logan, Philadelphia.

    A disagreement erupted between the man and an employee, aged 34, over his food order shortly before midnight when there were around eight employees in the store at the time, according to police.

    The tiff escalated into a physical fight - that's when one of the employees stabbed the customer in alleged self-defense , reports 6ABC.

    "The 28-year-old customer had some sort of dispute with employees over a food order and began attacking and assaulting one of the employees ," said Chief Inspector Scott Small with the Philadelphia Police Department. "Other employees intervened and tried to push this 28-year-old out - back out from the front door. That's when the 34-year-old employee getting assaulted and attacked pulled a knife and stabbed the 28-year-old."

    The man was stabbed multiple times in the torso and head. He tried to run off after the stabbing but cops followed a blood trail to a nearby house where he was taken into custody. He is being held at the hospital in stable condition.

    The employee remained on scene and is cooperating with detectives. The incident was captured on surveillance video, according to police . It is understood the Popeyes employee is not being charged.
