Jon Rahm scouts Andalucia Masters talent to complete his LIV Golf Legion XIII team for 2025

Jon Rahm is scouting for talent to join his Legion XIII roster for the 2025 LIV Golf season , eyeing players during this week's Andalucia Masters on the DP World Tour.

Earlier this year, after joining the LIV setup for the 2024 campaign, Rahm launched his Legion franchise but must now replace a founding member, Kieran Vincent, who has been relegated following a less successful stint.

Rahm, having five months to secure a new teammate, admitted this during a conversation with Spanish outlet Golf Sin Etiquetas. The player, who has an enormous net worth , said: "I still don't have a player who is already signed but we have six or seven in mind."

The former world number one shared that someone he's considering is currently competing in Spain, reflecting his proactive approach to his team's future both on the green and in its wider business prospects.

Aside from boosting his team's lineup, Rahm, the captain of Legion XIII and winner of the 2024 LIV championship, expressed ambitions to leverage his commercial connections, including bringing aboard equipment sponsor Callaway to enhance the franchise's offerings, reports the Mirror US .

Rahm's season has been a rollercoaster, both on and off the golf course, since he made the switch to the Saudi circuit late last year. He risked his Ryder Cup future by playing on the breakaway circuit throughout 2024, as he needed to participate in four DP World Tour events before the year's end to maintain eligibility.

Before the Spanish Open last month, Rahm still had three events to complete but was uncertain if he could do so. His participation in 'conflicting' LIV events led to him being fined and suspended from the DP World Tour.

According to Tour rules, Rahm had to resolve his sanctions before returning and completing his four-event quota. However, the Spaniard expressed his dissatisfaction and revealed that he had no intention of paying the fines.

"I'm not a big fan of the fines," he stated at LIV Chicago in September.

"I think I've been outspoken about that. I don't intend to pay the fines, and we keep trying to have a discussion with them about how we can make this happen."

Since then, he has managed to return, following in the footsteps of his teammate Tyrrell Hatton, who appealed the sanctions.

This enabled him to play in the Spanish Open, and he also participated in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland earlier this month. Rahm will fulfil his requirements with his crucial fourth start in Andalucia this week.
