    Once-a-lifetime comet is visible in US skies tonight - here’s how to see it

    There’s been a lot going on in the sky recently, and you could witness a stunning sight if you plan properly in Florida later on this evening.

    The northern lights were seen in some parts of the east coast last week, and tonight, a once-in-a-lifetime comet will be visible in Florida ’s night sky.

    Passing by the sun , comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS can be seen tonight in Florida, right after the sunset in the west. You won't want to miss it, as it not expected to be seen again for another 80,000 years.

    According to Florida Today , the comet will be rising in the western sky for the next couple nights, but with each passing night it will be harder to spot, so tonight is your best chance.

    There are multiple ways for you to spot the comet before it makes its way back into the universe. First, Here are the best times to look for it the test of the week.

    • Tonight — 7:07 p.m.
    • Thursday — 7:21 p.m.
    • Friday — 7:20 p.m.
    • Saturday — 7:19 p.m.
    • Sunday —7:18 p.m.

    The comet will be visible 15 minutes past sunset tonight, and 30 minutes past sunset the following four days before it will be too faded to see, according to Astronomy Magazine.

    As the comet rises, it will be moving away from the sun and back on its path through space. For the best chance to see the comet, you will want an unobstructed view of the western horizon.

    You will also want to allow your eyes to adjust, which can easily be done by avoiding screens a few minutes before you make your way outside.

    If you don’t have the strongest of eyesight, you can use Binoculars to help see the comet. You will want to look right above the area where the sun sets.

    You can also use your phone’s night shot setting, which will take a 2-to-6 second exposure, pointing out bright spots not visible to the human eye.
