Pictures from Liam Payne's hotel room in Argentina show the shambles the ex-One Direction star was in before meeting his fatal fate. Suffering "extremely serious injuries" after a fall from the third floor of a Buenos Aires hotel, Payne unfortunately passed away on-site at the Casa Sur Hotel in the Palermo district.

Argentinian media giants La Nacion and Clarin exposed the grim scene through pictures revealing scattered white powder, singed foil, and a smashed television soon after his untimely demise.

Although the incident is shrouded in sorrow, authorities are urging the public to steer clear of baseless gossip despite fervent online speculation fueled by the chaotic room images and accounts of a distressing 911 call made by hotel personnel mentioning that the celebrity "was on alcohol and/or drugs."

The tragedy-stricken father had checked into the posh establishment just days prior.

La Nacion spotlighted a 911 call from a hotel manager claiming a guest was "off his head on drink and drugs", stoking speculation about the circumstances of his fall. The Mirror reported suggestions that the damaged television might have been struck by a heavy object or punched, reports the Express US .

A haunting scene was unveiled in a photograph showing the aftermath of the tragic incident: a Dove soap packet, an empty glass, fragments of aluminum foil, remnants of a burnt candle, and a charred drink can top-all strewn across a desk alongside traces of white powder set to be tested for drugs. In a grim update, Alberto Crescenti, chief of Buenos Aires emergency services, confirmed this morning that Liam's death was instantaneous due to multiple injuries sustained from a fall off a third-floor hotel balcony, including a skull fracture.

Crescenti declared: "Our role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life. Based on what the team saw, there was apparently a cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death."

Following the incident, police carried out an extensive operation to move the musician's body from the hotel while fans congregated outside. The area around the scene was quickly cordoned off by officials, with forensic teams spotted going in and out of the premises.

An impromptu vigil saw fans lighting candles and laying flowers along the roadside in tribute to Liam, in the midst of a substantial police presence. The Foreign Office has acknowledged its involvement with Argentine authorities "regarding reports of the death of a British man," but has refrained from releasing more information, including the identity of the deceased.

Amidst whispers of substance misuse contributing to the tragedy, Crescenti announced this morning that Liam had plummeted into the hotel's inner courtyard, avoiding any conjecture on the influence of alcohol or drugs. He emphasized the importance of waiting for autopsy results, cautioning people "to not get ahead of ourselves."

Liam checked into the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires' trendy Palermo district alone on October 10, spurred by an opportunity to reconnect with former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan , who recently performed at the Movistar Arena. At one point, he was accompanied by his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, but it's believed she wasn't in the country when Liam tragically passed away.

Pathologists in Buenos Aires are scheduled to perform a definitive post-mortem examination today, beginning the process to reveal the sad events leading to the young musician's premature death.

Last night, Liam's body was moved to a city morgue on Viamonte Street, a short 15-minute drive southwest from the plush hotel where he had been residing.
