Caitlin Clark has seemingly quashed rumours of a stunning departure from the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), with her succinct seven-word reflection on her season: "I wouldn't change anything for the world".

The point guard became a household name following an extraordinary debut season with Indiana Fever, propelling her team into the WNBA play-offs before they were knocked out in the opening round by Connecticut Sun.

Clark's performances not only earned her the Rookie of the Year title over Angel Reese but also contributed to a surge in viewership as she captivated new fans. Amidst her record-setting season, there's been much chatter about Clark 's next steps, with some suggesting the 22 year old might consider leaving the WNBA or even the United States.

Despite the potential flurry of offers, Clark has dropped a hint that she intends to stay in the WNBA for the foreseeable future. In an Instagram post earlier this week, Clark expressed her gratitude, writing: "I feel very thankful. I wouldn't change anything for the world. I feel very thankful for the relationships I've built, the opportunities that I've had, the way people have supported me, and whether it was at Iowa or whether it's now in the WNBA."

Clark has been hinting to her fans that she's not planning on leaving the States anytime soon, making it clear she'll be around for more. In a heartfelt message, she expressed her thanks: "Year one - thank you to the many people who have supported me as I've been able to live my childhood dream. I'm filled with gratitude as I reflect on this past year of my life. See you all in year two."

Now off the court, Clark is honing her golf skills and is set to make waves at the next month's LPGA Tour event, where she'll play alongside her teammate Lexie Hull, reports the Express .

The event, hosted by Annika Sorenstam, has already seen Clark show serious potential: a recent practice round nearly saw her notch a hole-in-one, proving she's one to watch on the golf course.
