Caitlin Clark's rise to popularity in 2024 has been nothing short of spectacular , as she immediately became one of the faces of the WNBA - while her salary and net worth remains a topic of discussion.

The Indiana Fever star, shortly after being drafted to the league, wasted no time in showing her skills - and she is being credited with drawing thousands of new eyes on to the project.

Much of the conversation about the young American woman is her finances, with many insisting she should be making more money than she is.

Clark's salary is reportedly around $76,000, according to CNBC. Many have pointed out the difference between her pay and that of the biggest stars in LeBron James - who is believed to have an annual salary of $50,677,999.

Some would argue that as a rookie in a developing league, this is a fair salary, but based on Angel Reese's recent comments - the stars may need to start being paid more.

It's not as if Clark comes from immense wealth either, as her parents Brent and Anne raised her in a modest-but-nice home in Des Moines, Iowa.

It was here that the family raised their budding star in a £500,000 ($650,000) house, which was built on a small plot in 2001.

It is expected that Clark's salary will continue to rise as the league grows, and her popularity and fame grows with it.
