The entire world was captivated by the young phenom - who has recently collaborated with Rory McIlroy on a thrilling venture - as he dominated the sports scene and his courtship with Nordegren , whom he encountered in 2001 when she was just 21, working as a nanny for golfer Jesper Parnevik.

Patterson recounts that 25-year-old Woods was immediately smitten with the Swedish nanny but too bashful to approach her directly. Instead, he had one of his entourage initiate contact, an effort that initially failed to impress Nordegren.

Despite having a boyfriend back in Sweden, Nordegren agreed to go out with Woods, which led to their marriage in 2004. In the meantime, Woods continued his relentless pursuit of golfing greatness, amassing 15 major championships and pursuing the record set by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.

Since his triumphant victory at Augusta in 2019 and a serious car crash in February 2021 that left him with grave leg injuries, Woods hasn't been able to secure a top 10 finish in any of the majors.

Before their high-profile separation in 2010, Woods was wed to Elin Nordegren. The marriage collapsed amidst revelations of his numerous extramarital affairs, which led to some sensational episodes, including one where Nordegren reportedly used Woods's phone to call one of the women he was alleged to have had an affair with.
