Kate Middleton's hidden heartbreak she keeps under wraps during royal duties

Kate Middleton, when performing her official royal duties, is often seen as the epitome of perfection - especially with her kids . Her radiant smile and engaging conversations during her engagements give the impression that she's absolutely delighted to represent the crown.

Even during hectic royal tours, where she represents the UK overseas with a demanding schedule, her smile never fades.

However, a royal expert suggests that beneath this cheerful facade, there's an aspect of these foreign tours that is emotionally challenging for Kate , something she has reportedly grappled with for years.

Katie Nicholl, an author and royal expert who has accompanied William and Kate on numerous royal tours, believes that as a devoted, hands-on mother, the Princess of Wales finds it difficult to be away from her three children - Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six - for long periods.

As detailed in the Daily Mail, Nicholl stated, "Kate wants to be modern, she wants to be hands-on, she wants to be present."

The royal expert further explained that despite the immense wealth and privilege associated with being a member of the House of Windsor and future Queen, it doesn't make it any easier for Kate when she has to spend time away from her three children.

Nicholl also revealed that during Kate and William's 2016 visit to Bhutan, Kate confessed how challenging she found the separation.

"Despite being the Duchess of Cambridge and having the means for round-the-clock nannies and so on, she had her mum looking after Prince George and Princess Charlotte, which struck me as just really normal. I could see how much comfort and confidence that gave her in getting on with her job, which she does brilliantly, but I think it is always such a wrench for her to leave her children behind," the royal expert added.

Recent reports suggest that Kate and William have established a parenting rule to safeguard their children's well-being - with one of them aiming to stay at home with George, Charlotte, and Louis whenever possible, while the other travels abroad. However, there will be future royal engagements away from home that necessitate the presence of both the future King and Queen, so occasionally they will likely have to entrust the kids to the capable care of extended family and childcare professionals.
