Funeral arrangements made for Lawrence County deputy killed in crash
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — Funeral arrangements have been made for a Middle Tennessee deputy who tragically lost his life in a crash Wednesday, just before the holiday. Anthony Michael Cutcher, 36, of Pulaski, Tennessee passed away at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg. Cutcher was born in North Carolina, but a Tennessee native since 1995.
Discovery Center’s Camp Wonder to Return
The Discovery Center at Murfree Spring recently announced the return of Camp Wonder, a weeklong summer camp for Rutherford County high school students with disabilities. This year’s camp will be held from Monday, July 8th to Friday, July 12th at Siegel High School (located at 3300 Siegel Rd. in Murfreesboro). The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. The camp fee is $50.
DUI: Cory McManus runs stop sign in his Chevy Malibu on Branson Way
45-year-old Cory McManus was seen running a stop sign in a white Chevy Malibu on Branson Way on June 21st. Officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with McManus. Officers asked him for his license and registration, which he could not provide. When officers requested McManus to step out of his car, he almost fell over. This prompted them to ask him to perform sobriety tests. McManus agreed to the tests but performed poorly on them. McManus was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and obedience to any required traffic control device.

Nolensville Youth Softball League's Season in Jeopardy After Devastating Fire Destroys Equipment
Early yesterday morning, a shed housing all of the Nolensville Youth Softball league's equipment was engulfed in flames, dealing a low blow to the local sports community. According to a NewsChannel5 report, the fire department responded to the blaze at around 2:30 a.m at the Nolensville baseball fields and was met with heavy smoke and intense flames; the equipment within was declared a "total loss."
