PAROWAN — Firefighters from multiple agencies battled a structure fire between Parowan and Summit in Iron County on Saturday afternoon. According to a news release from Iron County Sheriff’s Lt. David Mitchell, dispatchers in Cedar City received a 911 call at 3:19 p.m. reporting a fire in a barn located at approximately 3700 West and 200 South in Parowan Valley.

Man Arrested For Deadly Kanarraville Shooting
(Kanarraville, UT) — A man is facing charges in connection to a deadly shooting in Iron County. The sheriff’s office says Kyle Jessop was taken into custody Wednesday for allegedly shooting and killing a 33-year-old man inside a Kanarraville home. Investigators explained the 18-year-old Jessop claimed there was a sexual assault attempt before he pulled the trigger and he’s cooperating with the investigation. Police noted Jessop admitted to using the weapon and planned to use THC with the shooting victim.
