Marquette, MI – A swim risk advisory has been issued for the beaches of Alger County in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula through this evening due to dangerous waves and strong currents. The National Weather Service in Marquette has warned that areas such as Grand Sable Dunes, Miners Beach, and Au Train Bay could be especially hazardous. Residents and visitors are urged to exercise extreme caution, with only experienced swimmers advised to enter the waters.

(CBS DETROIT) - Michigan could see more than $100 million from opioid settlement payments in 2024, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
