What’s Happening at Holiday Valley
HillTAP FESTIVAL, SATURDAY JULY 27TH: The 42 North HillTAP Festival is a day of outdoor adventures, live music, great food, and of course, fantastic beer. The 4th annual will take place atop Spruce Lake and will allow guests to experience the natural beauty of the lake combined with all that the festival has to offer, including paddleboarding, mountain biking, axe throwing, food trucks and live music. Jump on the chairlift at noon and listen to Smilo & The Ghost play from 1:00-4:00pm at the Spruce Lake Cabin Stage. Take the lift back or hike down for a live performance by Miller & The Other Sinners at the Tannenbaum Stage beginning at 4:00pm, followed by Workingmans’ Dead at 6:00pm. Tickets: $50 per person the day of; children 10 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Stay the night and enjoy all that Ellicottville has to offer! ST. BONAVENTURE, NY — The Rev. Dan Riley, O.F.M, founder and animator of Mt. Irenaeus and one of the most beloved friars in the history of the university, died Wednesday at the age of 81. "In my two years at St. Bonaventure, I have been overwhelmed with so many stories about the impact that Father Dan had on so many students and members of our community," St. Bonaventure President Dr. Jeff Gingerich wrote in a message to the university community.
