Beacon Christian Academy Teacher Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – In a shocking development within the local education community, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office today announced the arrest of Steven Houser, a 67-year-old third-grade science teacher at Beacon Christian Academy, on charges of possession of child pornography. The arrest, made at Houser’s residence in New Port Richey, has sent ripples through the small community, especially among parents and guardians of students at the academy located on Star Trail.

The investigation into Houser’s activities began following a tip received by law enforcement, which led to the discovery of two photos and three videos containing child pornography in his possession. Importantly, officials have clarified that the explicit material did not feature any students from Beacon Christian Academy.

Adding a disturbing layer to the case, investigators revealed that Houser also possessed child erotica, which he admitted was generated using an AI computer program. Shockingly, Houser used yearbook photos of three students from the academy to create this material, raising grave concerns about privacy and the safety of children in educational settings.

While there are currently no reports of additional victims, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who believes they may have been victimized by Houser, or has relevant information, to come forward.
