Hillsborough County, FL – According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a fatal crash occurred early Sunday morning on SR-674, resulting in the death of a 34-year-old Tampa man. The incident took place at approximately 12:09 AM when the pedestrian ran across the highway near 30th Street Southeast and was struck by a GMC Sierra.

According to authorities, the GMC Sierra, driven by a 31-year-old man from Leesburg, was traveling westbound on SR-674 when the Tampa man suddenly entered the roadway. The driver was unable to avoid the pedestrian, leading to a tragic collision.

The injured pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
