This restaurant in Avon Lake, Ohio recently reopened its doors

AVON LAKE, OH - After being closed for 8 months, a popular sandwich shop has reopened for business.

Earlier this month, Sam’s Supper Club - which is a sandwich shop located in Avon Lake at 33688 Walker Rd - reopened its doors, according to Sam's social media account. The restaurant was closed for several months due to the titular owner Sam Boccuti's health issues.

The sandwich shop's menu includes sandwiches like the Rajai (which is a roast beef sandwich that is served on herb focaccia and comes with spicy giardiniera, caramelized onion cheese spread, crispy fried onion, and mixed greens), Stay in the Car (which comes with rosemary prosciutto cotto, spicy capicola, soppressata, roasted sweet pepper pesto, mozzarella, and roasted garlic parmesan aioli), Grandma Mary's hot lunch (which is a pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich), and You Want a Little Turk, which is a turkey sandwich with maple bacon jam, heirloom tomato, mixed greens, herb mayo, and alfalfa sprouts.

If you want a meatless option, check out the Sergeant, which is a vegan sandwich with grilled zucchini, sweet pepper pesto, alfalfa sprouts, mixed greens, cilantro roasted garlic mayo, and crispy fried onion.

As for sides, the restaurant offers chips with caramelized onion dip that is "life altering," soup, fresh fruit cups, pasta salad (which is made with cucumbers, heirloom grape tomato, mozzarella cheese, marinated artichokes, roasted sweet peppers, cavatappi, and fresh basil pesto vinaigrette), and potato salad, which is made with Yukon gold potatoes, grilled sweet corn, mustard, mayo, fresh herbs, and green onions.

If you have room for something sweet, Sam's has lemon sugar cookies, puppy chow, and chocolate chip cookies.

I recently noticed their sign for lunch hours and ordered some sandwiches and sides for lunch today. They are not exaggerating about how delicious their chip dip and potato salad are! The turkey sandwich, smash burger and pasta salad were also amazing!
