A new restaurant has opened in Toledo, Ohio

TOLEDO, OH - A new restaurant has come to town.

At the end of July, a new restaurant called Jed's opened at 2600 W Sylvania Ave (where Backyard BBQ used to be), according to the new restaurant's social media account.

The menu includes deep-fried chicken wings (which can be tossed in one of the following sauces: Mary Jane, honey BBQ, blackberry BBQ, Asian, zesty garlic, mild, hot honey BBQ, medium, hot, or Superfly) and appetizers like fried pickle spears, mini corn dogs, pulled pork nachos, pretzel sticks, and more.

In addition, the restaurant offers "fireballs," which are boneless chicken chunks that are lightly battered before being fried. You can get them tossed in a sauce of your choice or covered with various toppings. Options include fungus balls (which are topped with sauteed mushrooms and shredded cheese), bacon double cheese balls, freak balls (which are topped with fries, coleslaw, and shredded cheese), and more.

Furthermore, customers can get burgers, sandwiches (check out the pulled pork sandwich, which comes with slow-cooked pulled pork smothered in honey BBQ sauce), pizzas, fish & chips, half-racks of slow-cooked ribs, and more.

If you want something to drink, Jed's offers a selection of martinis, cocktails, and shots.

I tried Apple Pie Moonshine, it was crisp and owner Mike said it is his house recipe drink, absolutely amazing and worth a try. Hot buffalo chicken dip and hand cut seasoned fries very good. More variety food and drink options than other wing joints. Waitress Emily was friendly and kept drinks full! HUGE tv’s and big bar. Christina a manager stopped over to check on us too. We love Freakballs and Fungus balls have real fresh mushroom and cheese baked on top.

Just ordered two orderes of ribs and mac and cheese special tonight for takeout. The ribs are maybe the best ribs I've ever had, the mac and cheese too was some of the best. Crazy good food for a crazy good price! Last time i had jeds was over 10 years ago at a different location and nothing to write home about, this was the exact opposite and I'll be back for sure if they keep cooking like this!
