A new restaurant has opened in Garfield Heights, Ohio

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH - A new restaurant has come to the city.

In case you missed it, Salaam Soup House & Bakery recently opened for business. The new restaurant is located in Garfield Heights at 4606 Turney Rd.

Salaam's menu includes its Asiatic bean soup, which is made with navy beans, peppers, onions, celery, tomatoes, vegetable oil, and turmeric. Also on the menu are the Salaam specialty salad and a grilled chicken salad.

Furthermore, the restaurant offers tilapia tacos, kosher Polish boys (which come with all-beef sausage, fries, coleslaw, and sauce), a crispy chicken sandwich (which comes with a boneless chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, cheese, and mayo), a grilled turkey burger (which is topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, and mayo), Salaam's fabulous steak on bun (which is a sandwich that is served on a long wheat bun and comes with chopped steak, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and house sauce), salmon burgers (which are topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and mayo), all-beef jumbo burgers (which are topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, and salad dressing), fish boys (which are a seafood version of Polish boys; the fish is fried whiting), and salmon sliders.

Also on the menu are fish & chips, salmon & waffles, boneless red snapper, fresh salmon, breaded haddock, whole red snapper, mozzarella sticks, hushpuppies, and more.

If you're looking for a vegetarian option, the menu includes a veggie burger (which comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, cheese, and mayo) and a veggie sub, which is a 12-inch sub with red peppers, green peppers, yellow peppers, onions, olives, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and ranch.

Do you have room for something sweet? Salaam offers a variety of baked goods like yellow cake with chocolate icing, yellow cake with pineapple icing, banana bread, chocolate chip banana bread, whole wheat muffins, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, cranberry butterscotch cookies, bean pies, and apple pies.
