A new restaurant has opened in Columbus, Ohio

COLUMBUS, OH - A new restaurant has opened downtown.

Are you in the mood for French cuisine? If you answered yes, you might want to check out the new restaurant Chouette, which is located in Columbus at 66 N High St. According to the restaurant's social media account, Chouette opened for business last month.

The menu includes appetizers like deviled eggs, gougères (gruyere cheese puffs), chicken liver mousse with toasted country bread, Applewood smoked bacon tarte flambee, steak tartare, North Atlantic oysters, and more.

As for main courses, Chouette offers dishes like bouillabaisse marseillaise (which is a stew with lobster, bass, shrimp, mussels, and saffron rouille), linguine with butter poached lobster (which is served with artichoke, blistered tomato, fennel pollen, and lemon), potato-crusted king salmon, and steak frites. The restaurant offers steak cuts like côte de boeuf, NY sirloin, hanger steak, and tenderloin.

If you're looking for a meatless option, the restaurant has cauliflower steak, which is served with Swiss chard, peppers, honey squash, and piperade. If you have room for something sweet, Chouette offers apple tarte tatin, crepes Suzette, vanilla creme brulee, chocolate mousse, and peach Melba.

Jen greeted and sat us making our party feel so seen and welcome. Had Lindsey who was phenomenal. Got the tea glaze and the French 75 supreme to start drink wise. Taylor behind the bar were perfect. Both fantastic cocktails I would recommend to anyone. Got espresso martinis after and they slapped in the best way. Started with the goujeres which were light airy and divine. Easy to start with. Got the dirty French Caeser to share and then the New York strip steak frites and the filet. Food, service, and ambience were to die for. So happy I brought my significant other here for their birthday. Had a night we will remember forever. Do yourselves a favor and come to Chouette to experience great authentic French cuisine!
