A new restaurant has opened in Lima, Ohio

LIMA, OH - A new restaurant has opened in the city.

Are you a fan of barbecue? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to check out Shafer's Smoked Meats, which is a new restaurant located in Lima at 3031 Harding Hwy. Shafer's started as a food truck before opening its new brick-and-mortar location, which opened for business last month, according to the restaurant's social media account.

The menu includes sandwiches like smoked chopped brisket, smoked pulled pork, and smoked bologna. Also on the menu are loaded nachos, which are topped with your choice of meat, cheese sauce, sour cream, and BBQ sauce. You can also get the trash can nachos, which are loaded with chopped brisket, pulled pork, the meat of the week, cheese sauce, sour cream, BBQ sauce, baked beans, and mac & cheese.

The restaurant also offers mac & cheese bowls, which are topped with your choice of meat and BBQ sauce. You can also get the dumpster mac, which is loaded with brisket, pulled pork, the meat of the week, baked beans, and BBQ sauce.

As for sides, the restaurant has options like coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, mac & cheese, and green beans. If you have room for something sweet, the restaurant offers banana pudding as well as the dessert of the week. If you want to try a couple of different things, check out the meat sampler, which comes with pulled pork, chopped brisket, the meat of the week, and BBQ sauce for $30.
