A new restaurant has opened in Solon, Ohio

SOLON, OH - A new restaurant has opened in the city.

On September 6, Mavis Public House celebrated its soft opening, according to the restaurant's social media account. The new restaurant is located in Solon at 6025 Kruse Dr #148. Mavis will have a grand opening on September 17 and celebrate the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to this post from the local chamber of commerce's social media account. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 4:30 PM on that day.

Mavis Public House offers appetizers like colossal onion rings that are hand-cut, baked sourdough pretzels with Boursin cheese, bone-in chicken wings, Reuben spring rolls, poutine, and more. Also on the menu are sandwiches like Reubens (which come with your choice of hot corned beef or turkey plus Swiss cheese, kraut, and 1000 Island dressing), Nashville hot crispy chicken sandwiches, burgers, and more. In addition, Mavis has dishes like fish & chips (the fish is beer-battered haddock), buffalo mac & cheese, chicken paprikash, pesto cream pasta, zoodles, wine-braised short ribs, seared sea scallops, and more.

If you have room for something sweet, the restaurant has desserts like bread pudding, creme brulee, cheesecake, and chocolate cake.

We had a great time at the soft opening. The hanger steak and reuben were both delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. They also were very accommodating by sitting us in a booth so we could slide in our babies car seat. We will definitely be back again!

Went with the family for the soft opening. Staff was wonderful, all so kind and worked as a team. Our server seemed like she is newer to the industry. Hopefully the more tables she serves she'll catch on.
We shared the reuben spring rolls and I had the scallops. They were delicious!! The hubs had the roast beef sandwich which he enjoyed and the kids had the grilled cheese sandwich and wings. I think it's pricey for what we ordered but that's not going to stop us from trying more of the menu in the near future. (Just maybe next time without bringing the kids lol)
