A new restaurant is coming to Avon, Ohio

AVON, OH - A popular restaurant chain is planning to open a new location in the city.

Are you a fan of Hummus Republic? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to know that the restaurant chain is planning to open a new location in Avon at 33420 Just Imagine Dr Unit 404, according to the restaurant's social media account. The Avon location is expected to open for business later this month.

The restaurant's menu includes customizable bowls, wraps, and pitas. First, you start with a base of your choice: organic Mediterranean couscous, farmers mix, warm garbanzo beans, spinach, or kale. Then you can pick some of these spreads: organic harissa hummus, organic Kalamata olive hummus, zesty feta, organic traditional hummus, tzatziki, or organic roasted eggplant hummus.

After that, you can choose one of these protein options: crispy breaded chicken breast, falafel, lemon chicken (grilled chicken breast marinated with a bit of lemon), mushroom shawarma (shiitake mushrooms mixed with the chain's signature spices), chicken shawarma (flame-broiled chicken that is mixed with spices and marinated with a bit of lemon), street mix (which consists of onions, olives, and jalapenos), or beef & lamb gyro meat. Then you can add some of these toppings: chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, chickpea croutons, beets, crumbled feta, red cabbage, white cabbage, fresh herbs, fried jalapenos, dolmades, corn, Kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, fried eggplant, and/or hot cherry peppers. Finally, you can choose one of these dressings: traditional tahini, Moroccan hot sauce, roasted red pepper tahini, Grandma's hot sauce, lemon & olive oil, or garlic jalapeno tahini.

The chain also offers vegan falafel burgers (which are topped with tomato, pickles, onions, greens, and ketchup), sweet potato fries, street-style sweet potato fries (which are topped with eggplant, fried jalapenos, chickpea croutons, red cabbage, olives, feta, and tahini), pita chips (which are seasoned with za’atar), made-to-order falafel (which is made with ground chickpeas, parsley, and a mix of 6 herbs and spices), and dolmades, which are vine leaves filled with basmati rice, herbs, and spices.

If you want something to drink, Hummus Republic offers tahini shakes (which are made with tahini, chocolate syrup, and dates), traditional lemonade, pomegranate lemonade, and turmeric ginger lemonade.
