CLEVELAND, OH - The other day, I got a headache in the morning. I tried to make it go away with a walk in the late summer air and an ibuprofen tablet but to no avail.

However, my headache went away a few hours later when I treated myself to some delicious Korean food for lunch.

Note: All prices listed below are subject to change.

My friends and I went to Miega, which is located inside the plaza Asian Town Center at 3820 Superior Ave and which, for our money, is one of the best places to get Korean food in Cleveland. For our meal, we ordered seafood pancakes ($15.95), soondubu with beef ($13.95), and 2 plates of soy garlic chicken wings (each order of wings was $14.95).

The seafood pancakes arrived first, and as usual, they were delicious. The pancakes possessed a crisp exterior while being soft on the inside. They were filled with veggies and plenty of seafood. I saw pieces of squid, white fish, and imitation crab meat.

Then came the soondubu, which was also fantastic. The stew was spicy. My sinuses were clear by the time we reached the bottom of the bowl. It was full of flavor as well as chunks of soft tofu that melted in my mouth. There was also a full egg that was cooked in the hot soup and a good amount of beef.

But my friends and I agreed that the chicken wings were the star of the show. Though they were drenched in soy garlic sauce, the fried wings still retained their crispiness. The savory sauce was delicious and had a slight sweetness, and the wings were cooked perfectly. Despite being crispy on the outside, the meat inside was tender and moist, and practically fell off the bone. We picked those bones clean; we wanted to get every bit of tasty meat and crunchy breading.

Along with the pancakes, stew, and wings, we got a variety of banchan: eggplant, seaweed salad, tofu skins, broccoli, and kimchi. Like always, the banchan was fresh. It was a nice, light, and bright reprieve from the heavier parts of our meal, and we got complimentary refills of the eggplant and tofu skins.

After I was done with my meal, my headache was long gone, and I was beyond content.

All in all, if you're looking for delicious Korean food or excellent fried chicken, you can't go wrong with Miega.

If you want to check out the restaurant for yourself, you can find it at 3820 Superior Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114.
