A new restaurant has opened in Akron, Ohio

AKRON, OH - A new restaurant has come to town.

Are you a fan of mac & cheese? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to check out the new restaurant S'MAC and Cheese, which is located in Akron at 1510 S Main St (inside Hibachi Xpress). According to the restaurant's social media account, S'MAC and Cheese opened for business earlier this month.

The menu includes appetizers such as Love Taps (fried mac & cheese bites), mozzarella sticks, pepper jack Love Taps, smoked gouda Love Taps, French fries, cheesy fries, cheesy bacon fries, loaded fries, and fried ravioli.

Also on the menu are customizable mac & cheese bowls. A regular bowl costs $14 while a large bowl costs $16. You can get your bowls topped with one of these protein options: grilled chicken, ground beef, beef pepperoni, pulled beef, beef bacon, lobster, or shrimp (the seafood options come with a surcharge). After you pick your protein, you can add veggies like spinach, sauteed mushrooms, jalapenos, corn, green peppers, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, peas & carrots, and/or scallions. Then you can add one of these sauces: Nashville hot, savory steak sauce, fiery buffalo, creamy ranch, zesty marinara, or honey hot BBQ.

The restaurant also has some mac & cheese bowls like the Fist Bump (which is loaded with crispy buffalo chicken, blue cheese bits, and ranch) and the S'MAC, which is made with a blend of 5 cheeses: mozzarella, sharp cheddar, Monterey Jack, parmesan, and romano. Prices range from $13 to $29.

If you have room for something sweet, S'MAC offers NY-style cheesecake (which you can top with one of these syrup options: strawberry, blueberry, mango, peach, chocolate, or caramel), tiramisu, peanut butter chocolate banana cheesecake, cookies, and more.
