A new restaurant has opened in Salem, Ohio

SALEM, OH - A new restaurant has opened downtown.

On September 23, The OG officially opened its doors, according to the restaurant's social media account. Customers can find the new business in Salem at 146 S Broadway Ave. Here is a description of The OG from their website:

The OG is a fresh and unique addition, offering a laid-back, yet upscale atmosphere. We feature retail beverages to go, bar service, curated small bites, and an extensive knowledge of our inventory. With 16 beers on tap, signature OG cocktails (including non-alcoholic), decadent wines from around the world, and a wide selection of craft beers and non-alcohol beverages in our cooler, we have something for everyone.

The food menu includes a variety of dips such as hummus, olive tapenade, Tuscan white bean, roasted corn & jalapeno, whipped feta, tzatziki, and more. In addition, the OG offers charcuterie boards as well as small plates like elote (which is roasted corn topped with queso, smoked paprika, pickled onion, jalapeño, and coriander), pork belly steamed buns (which are buns filled with hoisin, pork belly, pickled cucumber, radish, cilantro, scallions, and spiced peanuts), wild mushroom gravy & biscuits, and more.

Also offered at the OG are sandwiches like a Cubano (which is served on Cuban bread and comes with mojo brined pulled pork, shaved pit ham, house pickle, gruyere cheese, and ale Dijonnaise), muffaletta (which is served on house focaccia and comes with olive tapenade, provolone, house mozzarella, mortadella, pepperoni, and prosciutto), barbacoa lamb gyro (which comes with BBQ leg of lamb, arugula, house tzatziki, fire roasted pepper, and pickled onion), tandoori chicken naan (which comes with tandoori herb thigh, hummus, arugula blend, tomato, pickled onion, and tzatziki sauce), and more.

In addition, the OG offers flatbreads, which can also be made into salads. Options include the Carnivore (which comes with salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, ham, parmesan, mozzarella, and basil), Caprese (which comes with house-made mozzarella, heirloom tomato, pesto, and extra virgin olive oil), and more.

The OG is open 6 days a week, Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 11 PM and Friday to Saturday from 10 AM to 12 AM. It's closed on Sundays.
