A new restaurant has opened in Mentor, Ohio

MENTOR, OH - A new restaurant has come to the city.

Are you in the mood for Mexican cuisine? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to check out Federales Burrito Grill, which is a new restaurant located in Mentor at 8787 Mentor Ave. According to the restaurant's social media account, Federales opened for business at the end of September.

The restaurant's menu includes customizable burritos, tacos, bowls, nachos, quesadillas, and taco salads. Protein options include chicken, steak, carnitas, veggies, pastor, barbacoa, chorizo, tinga, shrimp, and fish. Customers can get add-ins like cilantro lime white rice, Mexican rice, brown rice, pinto beans, refried beans, black beans, charro beans with bacon, roasted corn, lettuce, jalapenos, guacamole, queso dip, pico de gallo, sour cream, onions with cilantro, cheese, and/or mango pico de gallo. Federales Burrito Grill also offers these salsas: salsa roja, salsa verde, molcajete, and habanero.

Furthermore, the restaurant serves specialty dishes like Mexico City street tacos (which come with steak, chorizo, pineapple, onion, and cilantro), spicy burritos (which are filled with your choice of chicken or steak, melted cheese, and chorizo), quesabirria (which consists of shredded beef quesadillas with cheese and consommé), birria tacos, and burrito Azteca, which comes with steak, chicken, shrimp, vegetables, salsa verde, melted cheese, and ranchero sauce.

As for tapas and sides, the menu has queso fundido, elote, chips, queso, and guacamole. If you want something to drink, the restaurant has options like Mexican Coca-Cola, Jarritos, horchata, Jamaica, and tamarindo agua fresca. If you have room for dessert, the restaurant offers tres leches cake, flan, and churros.
