A new restaurant has opened in Dayton, Ohio

DAYTON, OH - A new cafe has opened in the city.

Earlier this month, MidDay opened its doors, according to the new cafe's social media account. Customers can find the new eatery in Dayton at 800 S Patterson Blvd.

For breakfast, guests can get items like the Wright Start (which is a sandwich that is served on toasted brioche and comes with bacon, a fluffy egg, American cheese, and MidDay sauce), American McBeauty (which is a croissant sandwich with egg, maple butter, a sausage patty, and American cheese), and the Plane Jane, which is avocado toast with blistered tomatoes and basil.

For lunch, customers can get items like the Big Deb burger (which is a quarter-pound burger with American cheese, Dijonnaise, pickles, and chopped red onions), pilot wings (which are double roasted chicken wings tossed in Togarashi Champions blend), a chicken sandwich (which comes with a herb-roasted chicken breast, basil pesto aioli, arugula, and sliced tomato), and a salmon sandwich, which comes with Cajun-spiced salmon and cucumber-dill-carrot slaw.

If you want something to drink, the restaurant offers drip coffee, cold brew, lattes, matcha lattes, and espresso beverages.

I stopped in on a whim after seeing a post on Instagram. This spot used to be Ghostlight, and I was curious to see what the new place had done with it, and it exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere is fantastic—lots of wood tables, open seating, and tons of natural light. The staff is super friendly and thoughtful. I tried a salad and a chai latte, and both were delicious! It’s great to see another small business take over the space and make it their own in Dayton. Definitely a place worth checking out!

The new cafe is open 7 days a week, Sunday to Monday from 7 AM to 5 PM and Tuesday to Saturday from 7 AM to 9 PM.
