A new restaurant has opened in Westerville, Ohio

A popular sandwich shop chain has opened a new location in Westerville.

Are you a fan of Jersey Mike's Subs? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to know that the chain has opened a new restaurant in Westerville at 12 East Schrock Road, Unit 9, according to Jersey Mike's website.

Jersey Mike's menu includes both cold and hot sandwiches. Cold subs include Jersey Shore's favorite (which has provolone, ham, and cappacuolo), the super sub (which has provolone, ham, prosciuttini, and cappacuolo), tuna fish, club supreme (which has roast beef, turkey, swiss, Applewood smoked bacon, and mayo), the original Italian (which has provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni), and the Cancro special, which has provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni.

If you're looking for a vegetarian option, the chain offers the veggie sub, which has provolone, Swiss, and green bell peppers; you can also add sliced onions, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes to it.

The sandwich shop also has hot subs including Mike's chicken Philly (in addition to chicken, this sub has grilled onions, peppers, and white American cheese), chipotle chicken cheese steak (which comes with grilled onions, peppers, white American cheese, and chipotle mayo), and portabella cheesesteak (which has steak, portabella mushrooms, peppers, onions, and white American cheese).

If you're in need of a vegetarian option, the chain offers a grilled portabella mushroom and Swiss sub, which comes with portabella mushrooms, green bell peppers, onions, and Swiss cheese.

Bread options for subs include white bread, wheat bread, and rosemary parmesan bread. For those with dietary restrictions, the chain also offers gluten-free bread.

For dessert, the chain offers freshly baked cookies and chocolate chip brownies.

I returned in the evening and got a roast beef and provolone sub on rosemary Parmesan bread. An employee asked if I would like my sub prepared "Mike's Way." This means adding the standard condiments , which include: onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, oregano, and salt. Sure, why not? If you want any other condiments you can ask for mayonnaise, mustard, or pickles.

The inside of the restaurant is small, with few seats and a huge refrigerated case for drinks that's a bit in the way, but overall I think it's a decent layout.
