A new restaurant has opened in Akron, Ohio

AKRON, OH - A new restaurant has come to town.

Are you a fan of Jamaican food? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to check out One Love Karibbean Kitchen, which is a new restaurant located in Akron at 826 Copley Rd. According to the restaurant's social media account, One Love opened for business earlier this month.

At the restaurant, customers can get main dishes like jerk chicken, jerk pork, brown stew chicken, curry chicken, curry shrimp, curry goat, oxtails, BBQ fried chicken, and brown stew pork. All main dishes come with rice and cabbage.

Also on the menu are sides like fried plantains, Jamaican slaw, potato salad, baked mac, steamed vegetables, and tri color pasta. In addition, the menu has soups like squash, broccoli, pumpkin, red bean, seafood, and veggie. Furthermore, the restaurant offers these rice options: rice & peas, white rice, veggie yellow rice, green rice, jerk fried rice, pumpkin rice, and corn & rice. The restaurant also offers beef & cheese patties, veggie patties, curry chicken patties, and snapper (which can be prepared with brown stew, escovitch, steamed, or fried).

If you have room for something sweet, One Love offers banana bread, sweet potato pudding, and rum cake.

From 11 AM to 4 PM, the restaurant offers lunch specials for $7 each. Lunch special options include jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, fried chicken, curry chicken, and fried BBQ chicken.

Wow! Absolutely amazing! The atmosphere, service, food and just how awesome everyone is working in that establishment. Definitely felt the love! Rice 10/10, plantains 100/10, curry chicken 10/10, oxtail 10/10! I was working next door and could smell what they were cooking and knew I had to try! Highly recommend!!!!! They also have lunch specials for only $7!!!! I spent $23 total and got enough food for 3 ppl!!! Thanks so much to the owners and crew! Definitely going back!
