A new restaurant has opened in Brookville, Ohio

BROOKVILLE, OH - A new restaurant has come to town.

Earlier this month, Mulberry & Main opened for business, according to the restaurant's social media account. You can find the new eatery in Brookville at 130 Main St.

From 7 AM to 11 AM, the new cafe offers breakfast items like the Mulberry (which is a sandwich with sausage, egg souffle, white American cheese, and butter), the Jail Cell (which is a house-made biscuit covered with sausage gravy), the restaurant's take on an eggs benedict (which comes on the cafe's house-made bread and is topped with an egg souffle, shaved ham, house hollandaise, and microgreens), smoothie bowls, and more.

After 11 AM, the restaurant has lunch items like the Mediterranean chicken sandwich (which comes with a crispy chicken breast, hummus, feta, lemon aioli, pickled onions, tomato, and romaine), chicken salad on a croissant, pulled pork sandwich (which comes with coffee-rubbed pulled pork, cheddar, pickled onions, coleslaw, and sriracha aioli), the Fig panini (which comes with fig jam, smoked gouda, Dijon aioli, and caramelized onions), and more.

If you want something to drink, the cafe has a coffee bar as well as some beers on tap.

Been here twice so far. 1st time I got the fig panini, and my mom got the chicken salad croissant. Both served with kettle chips, ranch dressing, and a pickle spear. The panini had fig jam, Gouda, and caramelized onions. Sweet and rich. The chicken salad was also very good. Pretty close to what my mom makes.

2nd time I got the ham and cheese quiche, and my husband got the ham, egg, and cheese in a croissant. I also got an iced dirty chai pie to drink. Quiche was fantastic. Probably the best I've ever had. Husband was impressed with his breakfast sandwich. The dirty chai pie was a tasty combo of espresso, chai, and pumpkin spice.

Atmosphere is really cool as well. Located in the former Brookville fire station downtown. Glad to see the building put to good use.
