Martin Resigns as Ashland’s Town Manager and Police Chief
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) -Ashland’s town manager and acting police chief, Cyr Martin, will be stepping down from both of his positions in the coming months to take over as an Executive Director for the Aroostook Regional Transportation System. Cyr Martin has held many job titles over his lifetime. Changing career paths multiple times over the years from teaching, to cooking, to police work. After twenty years as Ashland’s Chief of Police and seven as town manager he says he is ready for another change.

Flag ordinance needs further discussion, Presque Isle council says
A proposed ordinance for flag displays and other ceremonial activities in Presque Isle will go to a working group for further discussion. Following the second public hearing on the proposal on July 10, the Presque Isle City Council voted to table adopting the ordinance until more people have a chance to review it.
